Three people were shot and wounded outside a stadium where a baseball game was played in Washington on Saturday, which led to the game being suspended and the crowd evacuated. Two of the injured were in one of the two cars involved in the shooting, while the third person is a woman who was on the sidewalk when the game took place, Washington said. On Twitter, the police specified that a total of “four people were affected” by the shots.

Spectators and players evacuated
Thousands of spectators attended a game between the Washington Nationals and the San Diego Padres, many heard the shots. The meeting was quickly interrupted. Two AFP journalists present at the match heard about ten shots.
Several automatic weapon breaks are clearly identifiable in videos that are later posted on social media. Another video shows floods of people running away. The spectators were asked to leave the place, which part of them did, and the athletes also left the track in a hurry. “An investigation is currently underway, and it appears that all danger has been removed at the moment,” police said. The game is expected to resume on Sunday.
