Gellainville. School holidays in baseball mode.
As usual, during the school holidays, C’Chartres Baseball et Softball offered a baseball softball course for its young licensees.
A first in terms of the number of participants with 50 young licensees from 5 to 17 years. A progress that the management team especially attributes to Philippe Esteban, an employee, who works to introduce baseball in schools and leisure centers and gives birth to vocations.
Under the supervision of volunteer trainers accompanied by many other volunteers who provide logistics (meals, transportation, etc.), the young people on their Bonville-Gellainville field trained from kl. 9am to 5pm, this first week of the holiday, by practicing outdoor activities. (bowling, trampoline, futsal, laser game, tree climbing course in the morning and a day at Parc Astérix).
If the French Baseball and Softball Federation (FFBS) shows a drop in the number of licensees, on C’Chartre’s baseball and softball, young people were well represented during this course, with eight participants in the category under 9, twenty fewer. 12 years old and twenty-two in 12 17 years old.
