MLB: Summary of the matches played on Monday, August 9, 2021 in Major Baseball

Jose Ramirez hit a two-run homerun on top of a productive triple, helping the Cleveland Indians beat the Cincinnati Reds 9-3 Monday night.

Wilson Ramos also stretched his arms in the match, while Amed Rosario put the ball in safety four times in five matches.

This Cleveland victory ended in a five-game winning streak for the Reds.

Matt Garza (2-0) got the victory by throwing two rounds in relief, without allowing a point.

Cincy starter Luis Castillo (6-11) allowed eight runs in just three and a third lap. The right-hander had not suffered defeat since June 20, nine starts.

Castillo has historically been in trouble with the Indians. It was his third loss in as many outings against them, and his second this season. On May 8, he conceded six points in a 9-2 loss.

Jimenez is doing very well

Eloy Jimenez hit two home runs again, this time leading the Chicago White Sox to an 11-1 victory over the Minnesota Twins.

He also achieved the feat on Sunday, and with his Monday match he became the first player in the team’s history to hit two long balls and produce five points in two days in a row.

Jimenez only needed two innings to record his five RBIs, as his first inning was rated 454 feet from the home plate. He came back in the second race with another home race.

White Sox starter Lucas Giolito took advantage of the situation when he limited his rivals to one point in eight innings.

When he returned to the match for the first time since May 2, Luis Robert joined the party with a one-double in the fifth round.
