Minor league baseball game becomes chaos after driving home – Marseille News

A baseball game in a minor league between the affiliates of the Seattle Mariners and Arizona Diamondbacks turned into a total brawl between players from both teams.

Tacoma Rainers, an affiliate of the Mariners, and Reno Aces, a Diamondbacks affiliate, were in the middle of a regular season Triple-A West game Friday night when chaos ensued.

Henry Ramos hit a home run in the seventh inning and started talking about rubbish as he trotted around the bases. It looked like he was having another argument with Rainers infielder Brian O’Keefe as he rounded out the second base. Ramos started running to third place and O’Keefe ran to meet him.

A judge tried to get between them, but helmets, gloves and punches began to fly.

Ramos threw his helmet at O’Keefe, then someone threw a glove at the mix. At the end of the scrum, the two benches were ready. Ramos and ace reliever Chester Pimentel was fired, along with Tacomas Donovan Walton, Jose Godoy and Brian Schlitter.

Ramos was 1 against 3 on the day with two RBIs. Reno won the match 13-2.
