Did you know that during his last 21 matches, Randy Arozarena only hits 0.167 with zero homers, zero steals and five being stolen? Everyone is exposed to a three-week decline. It’s just weird to see from the same guy who looked like the best hitter on the planet in october last year. That’s not fair, but we have to remind ourselves that Arozarena is technically still a rookie. He must be kept in all category leagues, but his discipline makes it more difficult in points leagues.

Another player who is getting harder to hold on to is Tony Gonsolin. He lasted only 3.1 laps on Monday, allowing three races on five hits and four more rounds. Nevertheless, Gonsolin’s ERA remains only 2.83. The most frustrating part of returning is that he has gone five laps just once in seven starts. Scott White and I both agreed to hold on now, but I must admit that my patience is thin.

Meet the Mets! They mashed on Monday. OF Michael Conforto connected on his fifth and sixth home runs of the season Monday night. He now has eight hits and four homers in his last five games – talk about warm-up. Here are the other players who delivered double dongs on Monday:

  • Citizens OF Juan soto now has five homers in four games after collecting two on Monday.
  • Gemini C Mitch tanner in his first match moved two homers. Tanner has looked a lot like the 2019 version on Monday. It is worth recalling that he hit .281 with a big time OPS in June before the injury. He is only 59% listed, and we will drop Yadier Molina for Garver. We just moved Garver in front of him on the rankings. We also take him over Max Stassi.
  • Kike Hernandez. Funny fact: In his last 18 games here, Hernandez’s state line is: .279 average, seven home runs and more trips than strike. He hits a lot of flyballs and is only 43% in place despite being 2B and OF qualified.
