70% OF LARGE BASEBALL PLAYERS AND STAFF WILL BE WASHED
Major Baseball says that 70% of the players on the field and support staff have been completely vaccinated against COVID-19.
Series commissioner Rob Manfred announced on Tuesday in a chat.
In an email to The Associated Press, Manfred indicated that these numbers refer to all defined as Level 1 in Majorball Baseball protocols, which include players, field staff, including managers, sports instructors and coaches, as well as key staff that need to be close to team, including translators, media and travel teams.
Manfred added that the 70% number includes partial vaccinations, for those who receive the two-stage vaccine.
“I think we are around 70%. The teams have worked very hard with their players, Manfred said. We continue to push for an attempt to bring the total down to 85%. This is a number that we think is important. ”
On March 29, Major League Baseball players told that restrictions on COVID-19 protocols would be relaxed when 85% of people defined as level 1 were vaccinated.
