BAKERSFIELD, California (KGET) – A baseball prominent Bakersfield Christian High School announced his intention to play at the collegiate level.
BCHS senior Evan Cloyd announced he will play for Cal Poly San Luis Obispo this fall. He announced on Wednesday on the BCHS campus with the family and the coaches. He said he wants to pursue his dream of playing college baseball.
“They always compete to get to regions, and one of my dreams is to get to regions and play in regions, so I feel Cal Poly is my best chance,” he said.
Cloyd said he is not quite sure which position he will play yet, but hopes to play at 1st or 3rd base.
