Chestertown, Md. – 2021 graduated from Washington College Dylan nepert (Federalsburg, Md./Colonel Richardson) has been appointed assistant to baseball, it was announced today by head coach Cory Beddick.
“We are very excited to add Dylan to our coaching staff,” said Beddick. “Over the last three years, Dylan has exemplified what it means to be a Shoreman. He is hardworking, selfless and loves the game of baseball. He knows the game inside and out and will be an excellent coach. Our entire program will benefit of his knowledge of and passion for the game of baseball. “
Nepert transferred to Washington College before the 2018-19 season and played in 58 career games. He collected 24 extra-base hits as a Shoreman, including eight round trippers. This season, the infielder / catcher went 3-for-4 with a triple and a homer and scored career-best four races in the 12-10 victory against Mary Washington. He was named Centennial Conference Player of the Week on March 23rd, 2021 after hitting .571 with a .625 percentage base in a double-headed sweep of Gettysburg.
A team captain, he was named an American for the year 2019-2020 by the National Strength & Conditioning Association.
Dylan will primarily work with hitters and assist with outfielders, catchers and first-timers. He will also serve as the first base coach and be heavily involved in recruitment.
