From June 28 to July 4, the 39th edition of the annual Mosquito Baseball Tournament was held at Clair Matin Park, organized by the Saint-Eustache Baseball Association. For the occasion, 32 teams divided into two categories (A and B) competed for the award, including three teams from Saint-Eustache.
“We are happy to have managed to hold our tournament this year. We have had a difficult year last year, marked by the pandemic, and the young people were eager to resume the competition “, to declare, after this 39th edition, the new tournament director, Yan Lavigne.
The forecast was not good, but rain was avoided for most of the tournament. Although the event took place in the green zone, the organizing committee implemented further measures to control the crowd and limit social contact.
In category B, the Saint-Eustache team reached the final, but had to bow to Patriotes du Noroît. In the final of Division A, however, the local team of Saint-Eustache won in front of the Expos of Dollard-des-Ormeaux and took first place.
The organizing committee would like to thank its partners, starting with HGrégoire, the main sponsor of the tournament. The event could not have been blackened without the large contribution from the city of Saint-Eustache, both financially and logistically.
