SJSA COVID Guidelines for:

Foothills Parks and Rec Fields, Jefferson County Public Schools, Marker Park Fields

  • Please note that SJSA must comply with the ordinances set forth by our field providers who receive their orders from Jefferson County Public Health and the Colorado Public Health Department. These are NOT orders created by SJSA, Foothills or Jefferson County Public Schools, but we are required to follow them to host all youth sports in our community and to maintain good status with our field providers.

CURRENT, per 3/1/2021, UNDER COVID DIAL LEVEL BLUE:

Athlete / participant limit: No more than 50 athletes / participants per playing field or field. This number includes sidelines and dugouts. This number does not include coaches, referees / spectators or spectators.

Spectators: Outdoor sporting events (exercises and games), there is no limit to the number of spectators at a facility as long as 6 feet can be maintained between households. The company is that spectators are not allowed to practice to limit the possibility of exposure. A coach and / or director can choose not to let parents remain on the field for practice. If there are more than two fields on a facility, try to keep 50 feet between the spectator areas at these fields. Spectators should wear masks at all times while on the pitch.

Judges: Please use a mask within 6 feet of a participant on the course. If for any reason you need to remove the mask, you must distance yourself at least 6 feet from the nearest participant before removing the mask. Eliminate record meeting, if possible, or limit it to one coach per team. Buses, not judges, are responsible for cleaning shared equipment. It is recommended that judges carry their own hand sanitizer and use it after contacting equipment affected by other participants. Equipment inspections should be done by the buses laying equipment on the ground for visual inspection.

Contact tracking: Please maintain an attendance log for each player at practices and games in case we should be contacted by JCPH who needs information for exposure.

Masks: At this time, all persons 10 years of age or older MUST wear a mask at all times. This includes ATHLETES WHO ACTIVELY PLAY!

Potential exposure: If a player, coach, referee / referee or any household member of a player, coach / referee / referee had contact during the last 48 hours with a person who tested positive for COVID-19, they are considered to have had possible exposure and after CDC and Colorado Public Health Guidelines (https://covid19.colorado.gov/how-to-quarantine), the person and everyone attending an event from the household, must be quarantined for 10 days from the date of potential exposure. Anyone with potential exposure must be quarantined. If a person was not around the team since possible exposure, the team does not need to be quarantined. If the person was around the team after possible exposure, all remaining team members and coaching staff must be quarantined for 10 days or have a negative COVID test after the quarantine day 5, they may return after 7 days as long as there are no symptoms present.

Positive COVID-19 test results (and / or symptoms): If a player, coach, referee / referee or anyone at the event tests positive for COVID-19 or has symptoms (fever 100.3 or higher, cough, vomiting, diarrhea, loss of taste or smell, chills or body aches, sore throat or shortness of breath) within 48 hours after the last contact with the team, then the entire team and staff must be quarantined for 10 days, and notify the director. People who have symptoms and / or positive COVID-19 tests must isolate themselves (https://covid19.colorado.gov/how-to-isolate) themselves for at least 10 days and can not return to a team event until they have been without a fever for at least 24 hours and all other symptoms have improved. If no symptoms were present, the person must still isolate himself for 10 days and can return to events on the 11th day.

Vaccinated individuals: According to CPHD standards, if an individual has received 2 doses of the vaccine and it has been 14 days since the previous vaccine, they no longer need quarantine if they are exposed.
