Saturday Baseball Doubleheader Pushed Back to 3 p.m.

HAMMOND, La. – With heavy rain overnight, Southeast Louisiana pushes back the first course on Saturday’s Southland Conference double header against Abilene Christian for a few hours. The first game is now scheduled for 3pm at Pat Kenelly Diamond at Alumni Field.

Despite a series opener loss Friday against ACU (17-11, 9-8 Southland), the Lions (18-11, 11-6 Southland) remain in first place in the conference table with a narrow, half-lead over second-place New Orleans ( 16-14, 11-7 Southland).

Sunday’s series final against the wildcats remains as originally planned.

Baseball singles games, for games in April, are currently on sale. Fans are encouraged to purchase tickets in advance to minimize ticket lines on game days. Southeastern students are encouraged to contact the ticket office before the match to reserve theirs in advance.

Individual game tickets can be purchased online at or by contacting the Southeastern Athletics Ticket Office at (985) 549-5466. Office hours are 9am to 4pm Monday-Thursday and 8am to 12pm on Fridays. The ticket booth at Pat Kenelly Diamond at Alumni Field opens exactly one hour before the planned first course.

Southeastern is implementing mobile ticketing as the primary method of securing tickets during the school year 2020-21. Tickets will be available via text message or email in PDF format for fans to download on the phone or print at home. Tickets can also be downloaded to the Apple Wallet.

Game day parking during the 2021 season is $ 5 per day for southeastern baseball, while soccer parking is $ 25 per day for most vehicles and $ 85 for RVs.

Southeastern Athletics enforces a clear bag policy for all ticket events. The guidelines reflect safety precautions required for access to professional and collegiate sports arenas across the country. For more information on the clear bag policy, visit

Proper social distancing technique is necessary at all athletic events. Fans are asked to keep a minimum distance of six meters from others, wear face covering over both nose and mouth and wash their hands often. Hand disinfectant stations are located throughout Southeastern’s athletic facilities.

While tailgating is currently banned, current health and safety guidelines set by state and local officials due to the COVID-19 pandemic allow 25 percent capacity for sporting events. Capacity will be adjusted as permitted by government guidelines.

The Lions Gameday Experience app puts audio, statistics, video, social media and more in the hands of fans. Those present can also check in to earn reward points that can be redeemed for southeast-related prizes. It is available for both Android and iOS devices, and can be downloaded from the App Store and Google Play or by following the link
