Havana July 5 (RHC). – Next week, sports fans in Cuba will be spoiled for choice. While the World Cup will keep our eyes glued to the screen, the Latin American stadium will host a series of baseball-friendly matches between Cuba and the United States, from July 10 to 14.
For Cuban players, these matches are at the right time. They will serve as preparation for the Central American and Caribbean Games starting July 19.
The baseball team played a series of warm-up games against teams from Venezuela and Colombia.
This type of tournament between Cubans and North Americans resumed in 2002 after an interruption due to political reasons. So far, the scales in favor of the Americans are 16 victories against 14.
It should be noted that the American team has won the last three series of matches, including one in Cuba.
Millions of Cubans are passionate about baseball, our national sport, but you have to see how football gets fans every day. We hear about football everywhere, especially now. Baseball or football? spoiled for election in Cuba next week.
