Curt Schilling, Barry Bonds and Roger Clemens were the players who received the most votes in the Baseball Columnists Association of America poll, released on Tuesday.
No one obtained 75 percent of the required votes. Curt Schilling, however, came close, receiving 71% of the vote.
These men will have one last chance to be inducted into the Baseball Hall of Fame next year.
This is the first time since 2013 that no new members have been admitted.
There are about 400 journalists who annually vote for these players who are eligible for the Hall of Fame.
