Le Graal merges with Baseball Center-du-Québec

The management of the Collège Clarétain announced the partnership with the Baseball Center-du-Québec organization for its baseball concentration. With the presence of Vanessa Riopel, as program manager, and the addition of an experienced team of coaches, the college ensures the development of young baseball enthusiasts in the region in the coming years.

The Baseball Center-du-Québec (BCDQ) organization wants to contribute to the development of young people through baseball, offer them a privileged means of enjoyable leisure, create a rich means of promoting academic perseverance, see the success of young people from high school to college and at the university, as well as providing them with a quality framework for developing their athletic potential.

For Mathieu Adam from BCDQ, this is a great opportunity to develop baseball in the region, and there is already a good group of athletes at the College. For the year 2021-2022, more than 20 players in this concentration are two days a week. The interest is so great now that the management is looking at the possibility of letting athletes exercise their passion four days a week.

For Vanessa Riopel, host, it is a great privilege for our young people to work with the same coaches from the Sports-études program in Drummondville, namely Mathieu Adam, Frédéric Gagnon and Vincent Bourgeois. They are real baseball fans and especially professionals in the field with an incredible background, argued Vanessa Riopel. Furthermore, Mathieu Adam is very happy with the settlements at the college. “We have access to an outdoor course as well as high-quality indoor infrastructure with the percussion cage, and we will be adding piles very soon.”

For Martin Bélanger, director of student services, this connection with the Baseball Center-du-Québec is truly an added value to the baseball concentration. “Our young people benefit from good supervision, and we have great projects to come. What is more and more interesting is to combine studies with sports, it is a good recipe for the educational success of our young people, “said Bélanger. “What’s even more interesting is being able to pursue this passion in college afterwards as our education in June last year Victor Bernier who continues his studies at Laflèche College and is part of the baseball program of this institution,” he added.

Young baseball fans are invited to attend the open house on Monday 18 October (by reservation), and they get the chance to visit the indoor facilities. In addition, it is possible for primary school students to register at the Académie Clarétain on November 5 to experience baseball with the Baseball Center-du-Québec team.
