“I’ve seen it on many, many occasions,” said another of the 2021 team that later transferred. “After a bad game, he will pull you in there. You can hear screams. “

“He whines at you, shouts in your face,” said an upper-class man on the 2021 team.

Radford athletics director Robert Lineburg said he is “100% behind” Kuhn.

“The coach is passionate and he’s going to train hard,” Lineburg said May 12 as he and Durand teamed up with Kuhn for a joint interview with The Roanoke Times.

Durand repeated two weeks ago that Radford University stands at Kuhn.

Three newcomers to the 2020 team said he transferred to another school because he disliked playing for Kuhn.

“I loved 99.9% of my school. The 0.1% was him, “said one of these players.

Kuhn, 51, spent 16 years as a pitching coach for the University of Virginia before getting the Radford job. He succeeded Joe Raccuia, who ruled Radford for 12 seasons before retiring.

“I have been accused of the process of taking over a program, and when you do, change is inevitable and change is difficult,” Kuhn said in an interview in May. “When you either find yourself unable or unwilling to adapt or change, I think there will be resistance.”
