The 12U Fargo team travels to Indianapolis for a regional tournament that decides who manages a berth to Williamsport, PA

FARGO, ND (KVRR) – The 12U Fargo Youth Baseball team won the North Dakota state tournament and is on its way to Central Regional in Indianapolis. They will play for a chance to go to Williamsport Pennsylvania for the Little League World Series. The two best teams from the regional will be east coast bound. Regardless of whether they win, the group is just excited about the experience.

“We’ll be spending a lot of time together as a team, and hopefully we can just try to win a few games and stay down there for a while,” said infielder Skyler Burkhardt.

“Good to be on TV, let your friends see you down in Indianapolis,” said Pitcher Dylan Salberg.

“For the kids it’s just, they stay in hotel rooms, they get pumped to take the bus, they get pumped about all these different things,” said head coach Grant Gigstad. “The games, they are not secondary, but we will see the best competition, get the better stage in there. Super excited about it. We need to see where North Dakota stands with everyone else. ”

Player starts August 7 and goes through the 14th. Teams from thirteen states are in the region.
