Baseball Canada has announced the names of the 25 players, including the two infielders from La Belle Province, who will fly to Florida.

This team will also rely on Chris Leroux, who was born in Quebec but grew up in Ontario.

In Group B, Canada will face Colombia, Cuba and Venezuela on 31 May and 1 and 2 June respectively.

“We have a lot of experience on the team, players who are familiar with international baseball and who know what a tournament is,” said team leader Ernie Whitt in a statement from Baseball Canada. Our team understands what is at the end of this event, and we are very motivated to compete for ourselves, our teammates and most importantly, for Canada. ”

The representatives of the salary magazine should hope to end up in the top two in the group to advance to the second level in the competition. The winner of this qualifying tournament, presented in the cities of Palm Beach and St. Lucia, will receive his passport to the Olympic Games.
