Pittsburgh Pirates reliever, Mark Melancon, was selected as a replacement Sunday for the MLB All-Star game on Tuesday. On the year, he is 2-1 with 0.81 ERA in 44.1 innings. This is Melancon’s first All-Star appearance.
Shortly after Sunday’s game in Pittsburgh, Melancon tweeted this gem:
“Since I’m a replacement in the @AllStarGame @mlb they made me drive to New York & I don’t even care!”
The Good In Sports congratulates Mark Melancon and wishes him the best of luck.

Cool family photo. Like all GM’s, Neal Huntington may have struck out with some of his roster moves during his tenure leading the Pirates, but he sure has shown he can build a bullpen. His acquisition of Mark one of his best trades. Dig the wife’s Pirates tee shirt.
