Tony Sanchez of the Pittsburgh Pirates accomplished something on Sunday that many dream about, he collected his first hit in the big leagues. Sanchez hit a rocket to right field off of L.A. Angels pitcher Joe Blanton. What made this memorable occasion so incredible is the ball got stuck in the right field scoreboard.
Between innings, a grounds screw member of the Angels was able to retrieve the ball for Sanchez with the help of a ladder.
We congratulate Tony Sanchez and wish him the best of luck in his career.
