Houston Texans defensive end J.J. Watt is set on making a difference in the lives of children. Over this past weekend, he made a dream come true for a six-year-old named Brenna.
In the past two weeks, a video surfaced of a six-year-old girl crying over not being able the marry the Texans defensive end on YouTube. Brenna was crying because her mother said she was a bit young. Luckily for Brenna, Watt happened to see the video and decided to do something special. Watt turned to Twitter and tweeted ”Does anyone happen to know this cute little girl? We have to find her and turn those tears into a smile.”
Watt’s efforts were successful.
What came next for Brenna is a rare occurrence. Watt showed up at her house with flowers and a white jersey she could wear as a wedding dress. The two were then married in a pretend ceremony. Needless to say, Watt made Brenna’s day.
Following the ceremony, Watt tweeted “Thanks to your help, we found 6-year-old Breanna and she said yes to being my pretend wife for the day”.

Perhaps a pretend marriage is odd for Watt, but helping children is something he does on a regular basis through the “Justin J. Watt Foundation”. The foundation reaches out to middle schools in Wisconsin and Houston that lack funding for after-school athletic programs. You can learn more about the foundation by clicking here.
The Good in Sports salutes J.J. Watt and his eagerness to make a difference in the lives of children.
