A man who was caught on camera breaking a windshield from a Miami-Dade fire truck with a baseball bat was arrested, officials said.
Jesus Santana Jardines, 30, was arrested Sunday on charges of criminal misconduct in the incident, according to an arrest report.
The report said Jardines from Palmetto Bay was at the intersection of Southwest 42nd Avenue and Southwest 9th Street when he went to his Porsche and grabbed a metal flutter and swung it at the windshield of the truck.
Mobile phone recordings from a witness showed that Jardines hit the truck before the officers arrived and took him into custody.
No firefighters were injured, but it cost more than $ 4,000 to fix the windshield, the report said.
The report did not say why Jardines went after the truck.
Jardines appeared in court on Monday where he received a bond of $ 5,000 in punitive damages. Lawyer information was not available.
