Canada lost 5-0 to Venezuela on Wednesday in a baseball tournament for Olympic qualifiers.
Caros Perez and Juniel Querecuto each beat their home runs, while the Venezuelan pitchers neutralized the Canadian attack.
Both clubs were already guaranteed to participate in the next round of games, which will take place this weekend. This loss could hurt the Canadians, as the results of the preliminary round are also taken into account in the final count.
Venezuela starts this round with a lead over Canada, with the aim of obtaining a participation ticket to the Olympic tournament in Tokyo.
Jacob Robson is the only representative of the salary magazine who has had a hit in this duel, in the first round.

The victory goes to the record of Oddanier Mosqueda, while Travis Seabrooke suffers defeat for Canada. The Peterborough shooter conceded three hits in two innings.
The two teams will now face the United States and the Dominican Republic.
Canada meets the United States on Friday, before taking on the Dominicans on Saturday.
The team with the best record at the end of the competition automatically qualifies for the Olympic Games.
The teams in second and third place then get a final chance to secure the last available place on the Olympic table.
