MONTREAL – The Quebec Elite Junior Baseball League (LBJÉQ), which does not know exactly what the reductions in health records will be in the various regions of Quebec, has decided to postpone the start of the season, scheduled for May 29.
League governors, who held an emergency meeting on Wednesday, voted unanimously in favor of the postponement.
LBJÉQ is studying several scenarios, but all point to a season start of 32 games starting a few days after the planned date.
The president of the district, Rodger Brulotte, recalled that LBJÉQ has been cooperating with the management of Public Health in Quebec since the start of the pandemic.
The Brulotte circle plans to unveil the official calendar in the coming weeks.
