The Grand Blanc community provides baseball team broadcasts before state title games

GRAND BLANC, MI – More than fifty people gathered outside Joe Pitock Field to celebrate the Grand Blanc baseball team as they prepare for the program’s first appearance in the Division 1 State Championship.

The Bobcats face Portage Central at 9 a.m. Saturday, June 19, 2021 at Michigan State University in East Lansing. This match comes after the Grand Blanc’s 9-1 semifinal victory on Thursday over brother Rice.

Cara Tipton, mother of pitcher Damien Tipton, says the energy around the team this season is different.

“We’re just happy for them,” Tipton said. “The energy of their excavation is like it has never been before. Every boy has a job in there, and when they do their job, that’s what keeps us here. ”

Dennis Paramo, grandfather of Grand Blanc’s Cisco Dionne, is excited about the team’s opportunity to become one of the best.

“I always think, if you are going to be the best, you have to beat one of the best,” he said. “Next year, whoever is behind us must do their best to win this championship.”
