DURHAM, California. – The Durham All-Star Junior Baseball Team will compete for a NorCal State Championship in Healdsburg, California.

The team dominated the district and section tournament. Durham Juniors are unbeaten in the All-Stars.

Not only that, they have beaten most of their opponents by at least 10 races.

Brady Doyle has been playing baseball since he was five years old.

“It’s great,” he said. “It’s a once in a lifetime opportunity for me and all our players. It’s great to travel. It’s been so much fun with my teammates. They’s great.”

Jason Thomasson is the team leader.

“I think the guys are all happy to travel a bit for baseball,” he said. Makes you feel like a big league. They have a lot of fun. Good community. Good families. It is very fun to be with the people we work with. It’s a great community. “

Coach Thomasson added that this is the first time his team has reached the state tournament.

Durham All-Star Juniors play their first game against Porterville on Saturday at 11.00.

They are one of seven teams competing for the state title.
