The Blackhawks rely on Colliton

The Chicago Blackhawks gave head coach Jeremy Colliton a two-year extension to his contract Tuesday morning.

The pact ends at the end of the 2022-2023 campaign.

The coach, who turns 36 on January 13, begins his third season at the helm of Illinois 2020-2021.

“Jeremy has shown an innate ability to develop young talent during his two seasons as head coach of the Blackhawks,” said team leader Stan Bowman. All this combined with great knowledge of the game, exceptional communication skills and a will to win gives us confidence that Jeremy has what it takes to lead our team to the highest level as we continue to build a list that can compete every year. “
