Two main figures in senior baseball in the Trois-Pistoles will return next summer with the Bérubé GM team. Puribec senior baseball league organization has announced the signatures of head coach Richard Lanctôt and general manager Éric Rousseau for next season.
The duo will replace Dave Voyer and Simon Rousseau who performed these roles temporarily during the last campaign. The two veterans led the squad to a sixth final in a row, but the team lost to Braves Batitech from Témiscouata.
It will be a return to the senior baseball organization for Richard Lanctôt, who served as coach for 14 years (2002 to 2016). His teams have won 6 championships in addition to appearing 11 times in the Puribec Senior Baseball League final.
For his part, Eric Rousseau returns from a sabbatical year. He replaced Harold Pelletier as general manager in 2016, then had the two roles of coach and general manager between 2017 and 2019, and reached the final four times, in addition to winning three playoff championships. He was also the coach of the 40th Puribec Senior Baseball League tournament won by the Trois-Pistols senior baseball team.
Bérubé GM will be ready for next season. He hopes to be able to play a complete and above all under better circumstances than last summer.
