Alpena tops Gaylord in BNC twinbill

ALPENA – The Alpena baseball team picked up a couple of Big North Conference victories on Thursday, topping Gaylord 11-10 and 5-2.

In the opening, a two-run double from Matt Thompson gave the Alpena walkoff victory in seven innings. The Wildcats had previously scored six races in the sixth inning.

Thompson and Travis Weide both had two hits and three RBI and Jake Zann had two hits.
