Nolin, who also received a fine, where the amount was not specified, had first decided to appeal the suspension before she agreed to serve her from Friday night.

Major baseball also suspended Nationals manager Dave Martinez during a game. The latter chose to serve his sentence on Friday night when his team met in Pittsburgh. Tim Bogar was the replacement.

Nolin was sent off in the first set in Wednesday’s match. He first threw behind Freeman before reaching him.

Nolin’s move came 24 hours after Braves stopper Will Smith met Nationals star Juan Soto.
