SAN DIEGO – Washington Nationals player Juan Soto will compete in the major league baseball home race at Coors Field on Monday.
Soto made the announcement on Instagram, before a game of him in San Diego.
The 22-year-old Dominican is on 10 homers this season, but beat 34 in 2019.
The Homerun competition will also include Shohei Ohtani (Angels), Pete Alonso (Mets), Salvador Perez (Royals), Matt Olson (A’s), Trey Mancini (Orioles) and Trevor Story (Rockies).
It’s still a place to fill this long ball festival.
Alonso won the last ‘derby’, in 2019.
