In Vitré, baseball players (finally) have their court

Finally. After long years of waiting, Read Korrigan’s baseball club in Vitré has just taken over its new infrastructure.

The Corrigance Club was officially established in 1991, but existed before.

“Created by a group of friends, for the 2019-2020 season it had a workforce of approx. 70 licensees who are between 4 and 56 years old. All categories are therefore represented, from baby baseball to the elderly “, indicates Patricia Liminier, President.

Expected equipment

“This infrastructure, which we have been waiting for for many years, is a project that mobilized the previous office and has occupied the current office since 2012,” indicates Patricia Liminier.

The hill is located on the sports complex Saint-Etienne on the hippodrome level. It cost € 180,000.

For the club president, it’s very complicated to “play and practice a sport without having the right infrastructure, and I congratulate us for keeping up and being active after all. Having this great tool will give us better visibility, as well as developing and hosting competitions, but also youth and adult tournaments, she continues.

Ideal conditions for development

The club will now be able to develop fully. Thus, with this new and “very beautiful field, we hope to increase our membership and host youth and softball tournaments”.
