Great baseball: 13 cases of COVID from the start

Major League Baseball announced Friday that they had identified 13 cases of COVID-19 during the first week of training camps.

A total of nine players and four employees from eleven different teams tested positive. The major leagues performed a total of 4,336 tests during this period.

The Manfred circuit continues preparations for the new season. The first preseason matches are scheduled to take place on February 28.

Meanwhile, the regular season is set to start April. Unlike the last campaign, cut short due to the pandemic, Major League Baseball plans to present an entire season in 2021.
