Barely beaten by Montpellier after an exciting match (4-3), Rochelais must win against Metz, at 10 this Friday, then against the loser of the meeting between Sénart and Montpellier, at 17.00.
The logic was respected during the first day of the Challenge de France. In Pool A, Rochelais, Sénart, the defending champion, won easily against Metz (16-1), while Boucaniers bowed at the end of the tension against Montpellier (4-3). To reach the semifinals, Rochelais must therefore win the two matches this Friday.
The first takes place at 10 am, against Metz then, at 5 pm, against the loser of Sénart-Montpellier. This Thursday, Nicolas Antoine launched the entire match for the Boucaniers and was “huge”, according to President Pascal Régnier. But Montpellier scored his four points in the 6th round, while Rochelais led 1-0. Maritimes came back in the 7th round, but they did not stick to the score.
A “tight” part
Mathis Nayral then weakened, the young opponent was replaced on the mound by Owen Ozanich, seven times France’s champion with Rouen. – The match was close, and leaders in Montpellier were obliged to start it. They have started their launch capital “, hoped the president of La Rochelle. An important aspect if the two teams were to meet again this Friday night for the decisive match.
