Baseball playoffs dominate Demo Wars – Deadline

It’s October, which means it’s time for the Major League Baseball playoffs to take center stage. Friday’s rankings reflected that, as Foxthe broadcast brought in 1.1 demos and 5.31 million viewers.

Surprising (or maybe not so, given the fanaticism of the following) CBS crime drama Blue blood brought in a slightly higher audience, and got 5.76 million viewers, albeit with 0.4 in demos. It was helped by a strong introduction from Magnum PI, which also had 0.4 and 5.15 million viewers. Opening salve 20.00, SWAT, topped the eye network demos at night, giving in a 0.5.

On ABC, Hi thank you continued strong with a 0.5, and held on despite strong competition. Subsequent newsletter 20/20 managed a 0.3, slightly down from the week before, but tied with NBC‘s Timeline 0.3) for bragging.

NBC saw its series debut of Ava DuVernay’s life change home Sweet Home came in with a 0.2.

CW had Penn & Teller: Fool Us up a chin to a 0.1, while Nancy the character also took a leap up the ladder with a 0.1.
