A little over a year ago, after a 16-year break, baseball was back in Dinan. The former members of the cyclones have gathered a team and invite everyone to discover the discipline. Except that with the pandemic, everything is quiet.
All amateur sports today suffer, including baseball, with President Baptiste Bougis’ Cyclones. A club that was reborn last year after sixteen seasons of absence. The concern lies mainly in the fact that the licenses have been relaunched to create a team of enthusiasts in Regional and in 13/15 years from the resumption of competitions in mid-March.
The labor force, the core of the crown
“The club’s survival does not depend on finances, like other clubs that have burdens, important results for the sponsors. We do not have to pay for a bus every month. But our concern remains our workforce, because we are missing two or three players, and an entire team will be depopulated and will be recreated, Baptiste Bougis explains. We have spent time bringing this club back together and we must move on without going back. We want our licenses to be renewed (18) because for us it is important for the survival of our sport, which is atypical in the country of Dinan ”.
