The Indiana Pacers did their part to spread holiday cheer. During the month of December they awarded nearly $125,000 in grants. The complete details are below.
(Via the Indiana Pacers) – Indianapolis, IN (January 15, 2013) – The Indiana Pacers Foundation recently awarded almost $125,000 in grants to 14 select, not-for-profit organizations located in the state of Indiana. These specific grants awarded in December helped raise the total donation of the Pacers Foundation to civic organizations in 2012 to $205,000.
“Many wonderful organizations are working hard every day to improve opportunities for youth,” said Rick Fuson, Pacers Foundation Chair and Chief Operating Officer of Pacers Sports & Entertainment. “We are pleased that the Pacers Foundation is able to provide support for the exceptional work these groups do day-in and day-out to assist young people in our community and state.”
Pacers Foundation seeks to serve at-risk youth, with a particular emphasis on education-related programs and projects. It is a private 501c (3) organization established in 1993 and is funded by contributions made by individuals and corporations. It is managed by a seven-person Board of Directors.
