Yankees contribute to hurricane relief

The New York Yankees are doing their part to help aid relief efforts associated with Hurricane Isaac.  They announced Sunday a donation of $25,000 to the American Red Cross in support of the Gulf Coast region.

“On behalf of the entire New York Yankees organization, we are eager to extend our support to the people of the Gulf Coast region who were affected by Hurricane Isaac,” and New York Yankees General Partner and Vice Chairperson, Jennifer Steinbrenner Swindal.  ”The American Red Cross is again answering the call in the face of this disaster, and we are proud to assist in their tireless efforts.”

The Good in Sports wishes all residents in the Gulf Coast region, affected by the hurricane, the best of luck.  Special thanks to the New York Yankees for their generous donation and support.
