On Wednesday, the Oakland Athletics served up root beer floats in the always tasty 13th annual A’s MUG Rootbeer Float Day. The event, which raises money for the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, was a huge success, as A’s players, wives, girlfriends, coaches and broadcasters raised over $24,000 for the cause! This year’s haul brings the overall total for the event to over $353,000 since its inception in 2003!
