Phillies second baseman Chase Utley has joined the Threshers for the third consecutive season, making his 2012 debut Tuesday night while serving as the team’s designated hitter. Utley, who is working his way back from knee pain, played in nine games with Clearwater last season and four with the Threshers in 2010.
