MLB All-Star Stamps out soon

Whether you are a baseball fan or a stamp collector, you are sure to be in your hay day on July 21st.  That’s the day the Major League Baseball All-Stars Commemorative Forever Stamps set will be released to the public by the United States Postal Service.

The stamps commemorate the historic careers of four Major League Baseball Hall of Famers.  The players featured are Larry Doby (Cleveland Indians), Joe DiMaggio (New York Yankees), Willie Stargell (Pittsburgh Pirates) and Ted Williams (Boston Red Sox). Illustrator Kadir Nelson based the stamp art on photographs he thought to be historic of the four players.

If you can’t wait until July 21st to get yours, you can pre-order them through the USPS website.  The Good in Sports tips their cap to Major League Baseball and the United States Postal Service for recognizing four greats of the game.
