The festivities will kick off on Friday, June 1, 2012 with a classic family reunion for the HFTH recipients. Since 1997, WDC has served 115 single-parent families in the Atlanta, Ga., Baton Rouge, La., Tallahassee and Tampa, Fla. areas, through its HFTH program. Each recipient family was rewarded with complete home furnishings and $5,000 down-payment assistance as they became first-time homebuyers. This weekend they will enjoy an all-expense paid trip to Atlanta where they will all meet one another and for many, experience traveling outside of their state for the first time.

The 2nd Annual Atlanta Celebrity Golf Classic events will follow the reunion with a Pairings Party on Sunday, June 3 at Shout where guests will have the opportunity to mix and mingle with other supporters and celebrity guests participating in the tournament. This event will also feature a silent auction, with all proceeds going to Warrick Dunn Charities.

The golf tournament will be held on Monday, June 4 at The Golf Club of Georgia in Alpharetta, Georgia, with registration at 9:00 a.m. and a shotgun start at 10:00 a.m.  The 18-hole golf classic will include a hole-in-one contest longest drive award, and closest to the pin award. Participants will receive a swag bag, box lunch and complimentary beverages. A luncheon will take place after the tournament and will feature a raffle.

Celebrity participants include Will Allen, Sam Cowart, Henri Crockett, William Floyd, Mike Hill, Dexter Jackson, Fred McCrary, Allen Rossum, Gary Sheffield, Chris Singleton, DJ Shockley, Aaron Stecker and Ricky Watters. Other celebrities in attendance throughout the weekend are Jackie Joyner-Kersee and Regina King.

Registration for the golf classic will end on Thursday, May 31 and each celebrity foursome is $3,000.  Sponsorship opportunities are available and hole sponsorships may be purchased for access to the pairings party online at www.wdc.org/golf.php.
