Yankees host charity golf

When you do something right the first time and set a precedent for future events, you better work hard to outdo yourselves. That’s exactly what the New York Yankees have done with the Second Annual New York Yankees/New Era Pinstripe Bowl Charity Golf  Tournament.

Last year’s event had over 270 participants and raised close to $130,000 for charity. This years event takes place next Tuesday at the Forsgate Country Club in Monroe Township, NJ. and will benefit several charities including the Memorial Sloan-Kettering Pediatric Cancer Center , Tourette Syndrome Association of Central New Jersey , the Boomer Esiason Foundation Fighting Cystic Fibrosis ,  United Healthcare Children’s Foundation . Registration for the tournament will begin at 11:00 a.m. with a 12:30 shotgun start. For more information on the tournament please call 646-977-8400.

With names like Mark Bavaro, the WFAN duo of Boomer & Carton, Don Criqui, Brian Cashman, Paul Pasqualoni and even musician Duncan Sheik, how can you not support this great event. We at The Good in Sports support the New York Yankees effort and wish them luck with their event!
