Predators, Bucs & Pirates

How have the teams in your community made a difference this week?

April 15-21, 2012

1st Gold Star: Nashville Predators

This past Friday, Nashville make a huge difference, donating $350,000 to area charities via 113 grants. The programs selected for the grants primarily support children and families. For a complete list of organizations receiving grants, read Predators donate 350K locally.
Special kudos to the Predators for continuing to support their community families and illustrate the good in sports!

2nd Gold Star: Tampa Bay Buccaneers

On April 17th, the Bucs reunited a military man with his wife and kids. Megan Creaser thought it was just a private tour of the facility via the team’s regular military outreach campaign. But, it turned out to be much more! Kudos to the Bucs on a job well done!

3rd Gold Star: Pittsburgh Pirates

Pirates announced the return of the “Wins for Kids” campaign for 2012. The campaign encourages fans to donate any dollar amount for each win of the season. All monies raised will benefit Pirates Charities  and the Children’s Institute of Pittsburgh’s Prader-Willi Syndrome Program. Last year, the program raised over 52k!
