Since 1998, the Predators Foundation has donated over 3 million dollars in grants to area charities. This past Friday, Nashville did it again, donating $350,000 to area charities via 113 grants.
“This record breaking donation is really a testament to the support and loyalty of our fans,” Nashville Predators President and Chief Operating Officer Sean Henry said. “Since the team’s inception, funds for the foundation have been raised through participation in annual off-ice events such as galas, wine tastings and golf tournaments, as well as game night auctions, initiatives and drives. Thanks to the generosity of our fans, youth organizations from across Middle Tennessee benefit from a record grant allocation of $350,000 this season and the $3 million the Nashville Predators Foundation has put back into the community since 1998.”
The programs selected for grants primarily support children and families.
